Terms of Service

Welcome to Pennsole. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Using Pennsole

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

2. Your content

All records, logs, portfolios, documents, photos, and any other content you upload or create in Pennsole remain your sole property. Pennsole does not view, access, edit, or share your personal content except as strictly necessary to provide the service you requested (such as generating a PDF you asked for) or to deliver technical support at your request.

By using Pennsole, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to operate and provide the service for you.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Pennsole to violate any law or the rights of others
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the service
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, decompile, resell Pennsole without permission, or access the underlying code.
  • Create a competing service that copies the design or functionality of Pennsole

4. Subscriptions and payments

Your subscription is billed in advance and renews automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Important: If you do not renew your account, all data (logs, records, portfolios, photos, and documents) will be permanently deleted once your subscription expires.

5. Not legal advice

Pennsole provides tools and resources to help Pennsylvania homeschool families organize compliance paperwork. Pennsole is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Always confirm requirements with your school district and consult a licensed professional for legal questions.

6. Service changes

We may add, change, or remove features as we improve Pennsole. We'll give reasonable notice of material changes that affect your use of the service.

7. Termination

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation or termination of your subscription for any reason, your access to Pennsole will end at the conclusion of the current billing period, and all your data (including logs, records, portfolios, photos, and documents) will be permanently deleted from our systems with no possibility of recovery.

We may also suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the service.

8. Disclaimers

Pennsole is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pennsole and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Pennsole after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
